Flame detector with dual infrared sensor IP65 – FF742 / IP66 – FF747
The FF742 is a dual infrared flame detector,mounted on a zinc alloy housing, and the FF747 is an intrinsically safe IR2 flame detector in a die-cast zinc alloy housing. This detector has an excellent response that gives high immunity to foreign sources that may interfere with you. The new technology of its microprocessor allows you to work with different levels of flame intensity and allows you to operate normally in adverse conditions, such as through smoke, vapors, dust, etc.. The sensitivity of the detector can be adjusted in accordance with EN54-10.
How is the installation and maintenance of the flame detector with dual infrared sensor IP65 – FF742 / IP66 – FF747?
The detector can be wired with two wires asa conventional system, through 4-20mA current loop or through voltage-free contacts. It can work with or without alarm interlocking. You can remotely activate the auto-test utility. An adjustable stainless steel bracket can optionally be supplied. The detector tolerates vibrations, and the wind does not affect its performance at all. The infrared sensor has an excellent response that even allow you to work through crystals or windows. Special test equipment is available for fine and precise adjustment of this type of detector. This test equipment also allows for operational testing.

Most infrared detectors respond to light with a wavelength of about 4.3om,corresponding to the flames of most hydrocarbons. Thanks to its extended response, between 1.0 and 2.7om, this detector can respond to most flames even flashing. It can even detect flames not visible to the human eye, such as hydrogen flames. The FF742 r detectoralso spins at wavelengths adjacent to those described, so they can discriminate between real flames and spurious sources of sparks or flashes.
