Flame Detector With Dual Infrared Sensor FF746

The detector can be wired with two wires as a conventional system, through 4-20mA current loop or through voltage-free contacts. It can work with or without alarm interlocking. You can remotely activate the auto-test utility. An adjustable stainless steel bracket can optionally be supplied. The detector tolerates vibrations, and the wind does not affect its performance at all. Theinfrared sensor has an excellent response that even allow you to work through crystals or windows. Special test equipment is available for fine and precise adjustment of this type of detector. This test equipment also allows for operational testing.

Most infrared detectors respond to light with a wavelength of about 4.3µm, corresponding to the flames of most hydrocarbons. Thanks to its extended response, between 1.0 and 2.7om, this detector can respond to most flames even flashing. It can even detect flames not visible to thehuman eye, such as hydrogen flames. The FF746 detector also responds to wavelengths adjacent to those described, so they can discriminate between real flames and spurious sources of sparks or flashes. The combination of the filters that the detector hasand the processing of the signal that is performed, make this detector can be used without any risk of false alarms in difficult situations, such as due to flashes of sunlight.
