Additional emitter/receiver FD310H
The FD310H consists of an infrared transmitter head and an infrared receiver head, for the expansion of the FD310. The FD310 ground level controller is supplied with a pair of detectors and can support an additional FD310H.
The FD310 End-to-End Infrared Optical Beam Smoke Detector (OBSD) has been designed using the latest optical technology, incorporating modern industrial, electronic and software techniques. This detector offers cost-effective protection of largeand open space with high ceilings. It is also well suited for applications where access to ceiling-mountedsmoke detectors presents practical difficulties.
How does the FD310H Additional Emitter/Receiver work?
The system comprises a modern-looking transmitter head, which emits a narrow beam of infrared light to an associated receiver head, with a Compact low-level controller. Once the smoke passes through and darkens the trajectory of the infrared beam, the signal strength at the receiver falls below a preset level, which in turn results in an alarm condition. Both detector heads, transmitter and receiver, have integrated alignmentwheels for easy alignment. The use of these wheels provides a smooth and repeatable alignment process. The detector heads have up to 10 degrees of adjustment on both planes. For further adjustment,a custom adjustment bracket is available, offering movement up to 180 degrees on both planes, as well as a full 360-degree rotation.
The FD310 is designed so that it can be installed by an operator, with its laser-assisted alignment method combined with easy-to-use alignment LEDsthat offer a visual response. The built-in laser alignment aid can be activated on the controller or receiver head.
The low-level controller features an LCD display, which offers a full interface unit based on icons and easy to use. This controller makes it easy to commission, test, and maintain the beam detection system. During commissioning, detector sensitivity and firethresholds can be selected, along with variable user settings for firing time and failure time.
