Characteristics of CO and NO2 MiniCO and ZafirCO co-detection plants, COFEM.
Cofem’s carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide detection plant is a device that detects the presence of carbon monoxide (CO) or nitrogen dioxide (NO2) gas in the area intended to protect, measuring its concentration expressed in parts per million.
In the presence of CO or NO2 gas, the plant issues an order to initiate a fume extraction or ventilation,or also to trigger an alarm,depending on the concentration of the gas in the protected area.
The components are integrated into a metal box and door, in addition to the control and configuration buttons of the control unit, light, acoustic and gas measurement display.
The detection plant consists of two wires through which the CO or NO2 gas detectors are fed.
Allows the installation of CO and NO2 detectors in the same area.
The plants have several versions, since depending on the model, a series of detectors per zone is supported:
- MiniCO model, MCO110 version supports 10 CO or NO2 detectors per zone. Conventional power station
- MiniCO model, MCO120 version supports 20 CO or NO2 detectors per zone. Conventional power station
- ZafirCO models, ZCO2 version, ZCO3, ZCO4, ZCO2DVB, ZCO2DVB, ZCO4DVB support 25 CO or NO2 detectors per zone. Addressable central
- Possibility of Modbus protocol. Models ZCO225MDB, ZC0325MDB, ZCO425MDB, ZCO225DVBMDB, ZCO325DVBMDB and ZCO425DVBMDB,
The plant shows the maximum concentration of carbon monoxide in the detection area and activates the fume extractor or fan when the parts are exceeded by one million that have been programmed at the plant. Exceeding 300 ppm activates the alarm output.
Delays and detection levels can be programmed at the control unit, and likewise, we can activate ventilation manually by tapping a button on the control unit itself.
Some of the models allow for a double ventilation connection, so that two separate zones can be controlled and that if the minimum concentration of monoxide gas or nitrogen dioxide is reached in one of the areas, it will start the fan from that area, while the second fan in the area that has not detected monoxide gas or nitrogen dioxide will remain at rest and without activating , allowing us energy savings.
The system complies with UNE 23300 regarding carbon monoxide detection control and measurement systems.
